Course Details
This course introduces learners to the use of Geospatial Technologies (GT) in emergency management, with a focus on how Geographic Information Systems (GIS) support situational awareness during emergencies. Using ArcGIS Online, students will learn to create situation maps, configure dashboards, and apply Esri's recommended workflows to analyze and share incident data. Through hands-on activities, case studies, and real-world datasets, learners will gain practical skills in mapping, visualization, and information sharing to enhance decision-making in Emergency Operations Centres (EOCs). By the end of the course, participants will have the foundational knowledge and applied experience to integrate geospatial tools into emergency management practices and contribute effectively to incident coordination.
